SFGH

San Francisco General Hospital (SFGH) is a licensed general acute care hospital, which is owned and operated by the City and County of San Francisco, Department of Public Health. SFGH has a reputation as one of the best public hospitals and trauma centers in the country. Through its long-standing affiliation with the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), SFGH is staffed by UCSF physicians. SFGH serves as a major training site to one of the top medical programs in the country, and is UCSF’s primary center for trauma training. SFGH provides a full complement of inpatient, outpatient, emergency, skilled nursing, diagnostic, mental health, and rehabilitation services for adults and children. SFGH is the largest acute inpatient and rehabilitation facility in the city, providing top quality medical care to over 1 million patients annually, regardless of their financial means.
