On-Site and Event Coverage
The UCSF Sports Medicine PlaySafe Program is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to the high school student-athletes is serves. Look for us providing sports medicine coverage at varsity football contests, as well as at wrestling, soccer, basketball, track & field, and other championship events. We are skilled and prepared to respond to emergency and acute injury situations, and are always available for consultation regarding athletic injury management.
SFUSD / AAA Coverage
Our Certified Athletic Trainers provide coverage for all schools with in the AAA. Five of our staff athletic trainers split up 13 schools and are assigned to 2-3 schools which they provide coverage for on a weekly basis. For championship events our staff can be easily spotted in the stands or on the sideline ready to provide sports medicine care to our local athletes.

This model is ideal for multiple schools looking for sports medicine care who are limited in their resources. By providing on-site and event sports medicine coverage, schools are able to ensure the safety of their student athletes. The on-site care is particularly helpful for the athletes as they can check in with their athletic trainer and get treatment, rehab and activity recommendations for the week.

Our staff athletic trainers provide daily care to their student athletes on their home campuses. With the ability to work with their student athletes on a daily basis, our athletic trainers are able to provide the best care and create the quickest plan for injury recovery. This model is ideal for schools looking to increase their weekly coverage and provide optimal care for their student athletes.
