The UCSF Spine Center offers a comprehensive approach to evaluating and managing complex spinal disorders including spinal deformity. The center combines the care of UCSF Medical Center’s experienced spine surgeons.

Spine deformities can cause debilitating pain and seriously impact function, self-image and overall quality of life. Patients with complex spinal deformities need expert surgeons, as well as specialists in rehabilitation, pain control, physical medicine and bracing and orthotics to implement a treatment plan that accounts for a patient’s age, lifestyle and other factors. UCSF Orthopaedic Spine Center doctors have worked in the development of many of the most advanced techniques in deformity surgery including implant design, bone graft supplements and substitutes, and minimal access surgery.
