Research

The UCSF / SFGH Orthopaedic Research Laboratories conduct world-class research on musculoskeletal injury and repair.  The laboratories include a Biomechanics Research Laboratory, a Molecular and Cellular Biology Laboratory and a Clinical Research Center.  The team of research scientists includes orthopaedic surgeons, research physicians and scientists.  The research laboratories perform the widest range of research of all public Level 1 trauma centers in the United States.  The lab is a training facility for post-doctoral fellows, graduate students, orthopaedic residents and medical and undergraduate students.
