Dorothy Christian, NP

Dorothy was born and raised in Northern Idaho. She worked as a Pulmonary Function Technician at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, WA for two years prior to a move to the Bay Area in 1986. At that time she was hired as a research associate at University of California San Francisco at the Lung Biology Center where she worked on air pollution studies while completing an Environmental Health Science degree at San Francisco State University in 1993.

In 1997 she entered the Masters Entry Program in Nursing at UCSF graduating in 2000 with majors in Adult and Occupational Health Nursing.

As a Nurse Practitioner, Dorothy initially worked in the Employee Health Service at UCSF and in the Medical Dept. at United Airlines before spending three years at the Sports Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Medicine clinic (S.O.A.R.) on the Peninsula.

In January 2004, she joined the San Francisco General Hospital Orthopedic Department where she coordinates inpatient and outpatient orthopedic patient care and interdisciplinary referrals.
