Lamont Cardon, MD

Lamont Cardon, graduated from The University of California, Berkeley, CA. with a B.A. in Microbiology and Immunology 1988 and received his Medical degree from The Chicago Medical School, N. Chicago, Illinois in 1993. He completed his Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at St. Lukes/Roosevelt Hospital Center, NY, NY. During his residency, he spent two months studying at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, NY, NY, and five months at Alfred I. duPont Institute, Wilmington, DE. In 1998, Dr. Cardon furthered his studies at The Hospital for Special Surgery, New York, the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas TX, Hirosaki University Hospital in Hirosaki Japan, Ogori Daiichi Hospital in Ogori Japan, and Policlinico di Modena, Modena, Italy. Afterwards he finished his education by attending an orthopaedic hand fellowship at CV Starr Hand Surgery, Roosevelt Hospital, New York, in 1999.

Dr. Cardon is also an Orthopaedic Overseas Volunteer who has volunteered in Thimphu, Bhutan, May 1995, Sept 2000 and Phenom Phen, Cambodia at Sihinouk Hospital in February 2002.

Dr. Cardon has done research and authored several papers, on Trigger Finger in Children, Traumatic Boutonniere Deformity of the Thumb, The Long Term Follow-up of Radial Collateral Ligament Reconstruction, and Distal Thumb Reconstruction Using a Mini Wrap-Around Flap from the Great Toe.

He currently has privileges and appointments with: Alta Bates Medical Center, Bay Surgery Center, The Surgery Center. He also holds appointments as a Clinical Instructor with the University of California, San Francisco and a Staff Physician with the University of California, Berkeley, Tang Center.
