A recent study led by scientists at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center (SFGH) , was reported by the Institute of Medicine (IOM) on August 3, 2012. The study identifies widespread gaps in health literacy and demonstrates how to address them.
