Patient Care Overview

The UCSF/SFGH Orthopaedic Trauma Center is staffed by fellowship trained UCSF Department of Orthopaedic Surgery faculty who provide comprehensive, expert care for patients with any type of orthopaedic injury. The Center continues to be a nationally recognized leader in orthopaedic trauma, including education, research, and the comprehensive care of the patient with musculoskeletal injuries. San Francisco General Hospital is San Francisco’s only Level 1 Trauma Center and provides emergency orthopaedic trauma care from the Bay Area’s Mid Peninsula to the Oregon border.
