Hip Orthosis
A brace that limits or controls motion around the hip.
Examples:
- Adult/Adolescent hip abduction orthosis: Usually used to treat hip arthroplasty or hip dislocation. The brace limits harmful motion.
- A-Frame: Treats asceptic necrosis of the hip in children.
- Pavlik Sling or a static hip abduction orthosis (“Cruiser”): These braces are used for hip dysplagia or hip dislocation problems
