Orthotics & Prosthetics

 

Knee Orthosis

Used for unloading part of the knee joint, for moderate or mild instabilities or pain.

Examples:

  • Custom knee brace: These are made from a cast, and are used to optimally protect the knee for sprains, torn ligaments, and cartilage damage. They can be worn for protection against re-injury for the active sports patient.
  • Off shelf knee brace: Usually used for the milder instability, swelling, or painful knee problems.
