Saturday, November 7, 2015
10:00 am to 4:00 pm, at AT&T Park as part of the Bay Area Science Festival

The ACT program embodies UCSF’s rich history of community-based
initiatives. It introduces people affected by limb loss to a variety of athletic
and fitness activities, encouraging full recovery through training and
awareness. By utilizing a broad range of resources offered by the University
of California, San Francisco, the ACT program provides monthly clinics and a
large national event. It creates a community of individuals motivated to engage
in activities they enjoyed prior to amputation and recover a healthy and active
lifestyle. The 2015 event will bring UCSF experts and the ACT team to AT&T
Park on November 7th as part of the Bay Area Science Festival. The day will
include full ACT assessments with video gait analysis, Focused Amputee
Strength Training (FAST), introduction to amputee cycling, as well as a sport
and mobility clinic.
