Sports Medicine


The shoulder is a ball and socket joint, but the anatomy of the shoulder allows for an amazing amount of flexibility. The humeral head, or ball, sits on the glenoid, a very shallow socket.  To learn more about the shoulder and common shoulder problems, click on one of the links above, or on the video below where Brian Feeley, MD discusses common shoulder problems to the UCSF Community.
