Stephanie M. Messervy joined the pediatric orthopaedic team for the University of California at San Francisco in 2012 as a physician assistant based at Children’s Hospital and Research Center in Oakland. Stephanie received her undergraduate degree in psychology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. While at Emory, Stephanie was a hurdler for the track and field team and served as a youth mentor in the greater Atlanta area. After sustaining a knee injury her senior year, she transitioned to distance running completing the Boston, New York and Chicago marathons and the Chicago triathlon. She received a Masters degree in psychology from Boston University with a focus on developmental and behavioral disorders. Stephanie also served as a director for a Boston-based non-profit focused on national health and safety.

Stephanie returned to the South East to work in orthopaedics at Spartanburg Regional Hospital and then complete her training as a physician assistant, receiving a Masters in Medical Science from Emory University School of Medicine.
