Neil Adler, MA, PA-C
Physician Assistant


Neil Adler, PA-C, MA has 30 years in orthopedic medicine and currently works as a clinical  orthopedic physician assistant at Children’s Hospital and Research Center Oakland.. Neil has worked extensively as a first assistant in joint reconstruction and spine orthopedics. His practice interests include joint reconstruction, orthopedic trauma, pediatric orthopedics and gait disorders.  As a research physical therapist, Neil directed the Motion Analysis Laboratory at Children’s Hospital at Stanford where his work resulted in a number of major publications in the Journal of Pediatric Orthopedics and Journal of Orthopedic Research. He obtained the first national license in Kinesiology Electromyography and later served on the California state examining board. Neil has been an orthopedic lecturer for the Stanford University Department of Surgery and has presented at many orthopedic meetings throughout theUSandSouth America. Neil has regularly taught in the Stanford University PA program as well as to medical students, residents and visiting physicians. His goal has always been to organize and simplify a large body of orthopedic knowledge for the student of medicine. Personally he enjoys adventure travel, bicycle touring, aerobic sports and good food. He is fluent in Spanish,  passable in Portuguese and is a professional jazz pianist.
